  1. I have Callaway Apex. Have to say; pretty good even on a bad shot. Always wanted forged clubs with the cavity back; but they sure ding easy putting clubs back in the back. Doesn’t affect play though. Many times I think I hit a bad shot due to bad report of the feel from the hit; and say something before looking up and find the ball is right on target. Someone always says; what is wrong with that? BTW, I’m local in Oceanside and retired and would like a little work on the side. You need any putters or clubs welded. I’m better than good. I taught at Palomar for 20 years.

  2. Converted from ALL PIng to ALL Callaway when the Steelheads came out, now playing the XR16 driver and 3w, Steelhead 4-SW. Now only oddball is my Cameron Laguna 2 Putter…Love the irons, looking to buy the Steelhead 3 & 5 Woods. Had the Ping i25’s and I’m hitting the Steelheads about a club further…..

  3. Got brand new steelheads just before the Epic irons came out. Building my game now that we are empty nesters, never had a handicap, but have good coaching, a week of golf school, and a home studio. Upgrade to epics or stay with steelheads?

  4. These are all good looking irons. It’s no wonder even today Callaway continues the classic x-16 head shape with the toe and heel weighting. Often copied by competitors too.
